I love Chef José Andrés. We are honored to have dined at é by José Andrés. We have also enjoyed Jaleo in DC & Las Vegas and frequently visit China Poblano. Finally, we get to experience Bazaar Meat By José Andrés!

A little about the chef, he was born and raised in the northern region of Asturias in Spain. Worked in the kitchen of Ferran Adrià’s restaurant elBulli in Spain. elBulli is famously known for its “deconstructed cuisine” which the food world links to origins of “molecular gastronomy.” Chef José Andrés was named the James Beard Foundation – Best Chef: Mid-Atlantic in 2003. He was also named Humanitarian of the Year in 2018. He received the National Humanities Medal and is a two Michelin star chef. José has over 17+ restaurants and it is a delight to eat at any one of them in my opinion. The José Andrés Group of restaurants has a singular mission: To Change the World Through the Power of Food. Well, they do!

Not only does he have many restaurants and awards, he also is a life-saving humanitarian. José started World Central Kitchen (WCK) is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization that provides food relief. It was founded in 2010 by Spanish American chef and restaurateur José Andrés after the earthquake in Haiti.

The experience was many courses including, but not limited to; Cotton Candy Foie Gras, ‘Ferran Adrià’ Olives, Caviar Cone (crème fraîche, classic Ossetra caviar), The Classic, Tartare (beef sirloin, Savora mustard, egg yolk, HP sauce, anchovy, Parker House rolls), Grilled Asparagus with black garlic romesco sauce, Buttered Potato Purée with butter, butter, more butter, some potatoes… This is all before we got to most of the meat. Service and food was top-notch!

Dessert looked simple, but was just right to finish our dining experience. Bravo!
