Here Lies Love & Kelvin Moon Loh

A must see Off-Broadway show at Joe’s Public Theater in New York City.

Joes Public Theatre 2013 David Byrne

Here Lies Love – Created by David Byrne along with music collaboration by Fat Boy Slim, Here Lies Love is a show about the rise and fall of Imelda Marcos in an immersive and interactive club atmosphere.

When we arrived in New York last April, we wanted to see this show so badly, but it was completely sold out. Luckily for us, our friend, Kelvin Moon Loh, was part of the cast! We were able to acquire partially obstructed seats, but located in the heart of all of the action. Overall, we felt they were the best seats in the house!

I met Kelvin several years ago in Florida at Mandy & Daryl’s wedding. I was part of a group of friends and family that sang a song for the ceremony. Kelvin was the lead vocal and I was in awe of his talent from that day forward.

Kelvin has been in many productions including Miss Saigon, the first touring production of Green Day’s American Idiot, and the upcoming Radiant Baby on February 24, 2014.

Kelvin is amazing and Here Lies Love was top-notch! This show ran at The Public Theater and its run was extended 4 times through July 2013 before closing. However, recently it was announced that Joe’s Public will again host Here Lies Love with performances starting in March 2014! If you are in NYC, go see this show!

After the show we headed to Mamoun’s for falafel.
